Adina is a first-generation Afro-Canadian woman of Jamaican origins. Unable to find work and love in Toronto she impulsively moves to Quebec. Although ostensibly a romantic comedy-drama, the main focus of the series focuses on the romantic and personal life of our main character, often using daily life situations as plot devices to contrast or reinforce provincial differences.
The series explores Adina’s journey of being a new non-immigrant on the French side of Canada. While chronicling the mating habits of being single in Toronto, Montréal, and Quebec City. A refreshed modern look at love told through the eyes of a single Afro-Canadian woman perspective.
